Unboxing pictures of W995 Walkman™

W995 is latest Sony Ericsson high-end slider phone. It has 240×320 pixels screen and 8.1 megapixel camera. W995 is Walkman™ flagship for 2009 year, so it has many music features: build-in stereo speakers, three dedicated music control keys on the side and 3.5-mm jack on the top of the phone. The phone has sizes 97 x 49 x 15 mm and weight 113 gram. The new W995 will be available in three nice colours: Progressive Black, Cosmic Silver and Energetic Red. The author himself assumes that the headphones included with the phone depend on what market the W995 is sold.

the box is not really what i hve thought, as a flagship of this year walman phone, im hoping for a more xciting box with a xciting unboxing…and what with the not 3.5mm headphone?? quiet a disappointment

You guys are funny. You see 5 pictures of a box unwrapping and you immediately diss everything. And isn’t there headphones with a 3.5 plug in one of the pictures.

Well, 3.5mm jack is ok. I’m really glad with the phone, it works great. Sound quality is very good, bass is strong, sound is clear. External stereo speakers produce good sound with powerfull bass, yet they aren’t so loud like Nokia 6233 (may be another model, but you know which one i mean).
Noise Canceling phones will not be included in all markets, as you see.
The box for the flagship is not so cool as i assumed, but we all aren’t buying “the box”. But W995 is very cool phone – it’s very lightweighted, metal + plastic with small crystal dots

I think SE recently spoke about cutting back on (deluxe) packaging, all in their environmental effort to reduce wastage, excessiveness etc… Though I love the packaging my W890 came in, it’s a good move for the company. But us SE fans might not all think so.
