The new Sony Ericsson Robyn – a compact touch phone

Meet the new device from XPERIA™ series. Robyn – a compact touch phone based on Android OS which looks like a mini version of XPERIA™ X10. The device has 2.6″ touchscreen display, 5.0 megapixel camera, 3.5mm audio jack, micro USB port and Wi-Fi™. The phone will be available in many colours. Unfortunately we don’t have other specifications yet. Sony Ericsson announces the new Robyn on February 14th 2010 at the MWC event.

yes….what’s the size of the display….because this is quite important in connection with the Android applications (most of them are for 320 x 480 pixels, 3.2 inches)

Will it really be Xperia? I don’t see the Xperia name on the bottom where it is on the X10, and I don’t think SE would want it’s top line polluted by a “lesser” phone, would they?

2.6″ it is struggling but a Nice move from SE comgrats for the first mini touch phone unlike the N97 mini just hope that the hardware ( CPU and RAM) will follow nice move SE

if the screen size is indeed 2.6 inches…could that pose a problem for Android OS it self and for all the Android applications, because they are for 320 x 480 pixels, 3.2 inches displays

This display unusable small. Mine x1 screen also very small. Who will use this, Babys? I will buy HTC HD2, not the outdated x2 with old slow cpu, small ram,rom small screen, with high price, and outdated hardvare? This company now a joke.
