Xperia™ PLAY Launched in 11 markets with over 60 Games

On Friday April 1st The Sony Ericsson Xperia™ PLAY Launched in 11 markets with over 60 Games at its arsenal. The world’s first PlayStation® certified smartphone is now on sale in first markets with additional markets to begin sale in the coming weeks. Markets that are currently selling the device include UK, Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Russia, Hong Kong and Taiwan and an additional 6 markets in the coming 2 weeks. The 6 additional markets include India, Portugal, Finland, Singapore, Spain and France. Also Verizon in the US is expected to start sale of the device on April 14th or thereafter.
The range of games available to download at launch is a combination of original PlayStation® titles, well known 3D titles that take the full advantage of the graphical capabilities and controls of Xperia™ PLAY as well as popular casual games all optimized for the unique game pad.
