Announcement MainPublished April 22, 2011 at 7:15 pm by Morgan

Sony Ericsson silently announced its first Walkman™ android phone dubbed the W8. The device magically showed up on Sony Ericsson’s website sans a press release. W8 features a 3′ inch screen with a 3.5 mm headset jack and a dedicated Walkman™ player on top of Android 2.1 OS. On the back is a 3.2 mega-pixel camera and with 23+ hours of music listening, it should be great low budget music phone. Sony Ericsson’s four corner home screen also makes an appearance so you can navigate easier on a small screen. It sports the same design and similar specifications as the Xperia™ X8 sans the Walkman™ logo. The Sony Ericsson W8 Walkman™ phone will be available in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam starting from Q2 2011 in a array of vibrant colors – Azure Blue, Metallic Red, and Iconic Orange.
