Sony Ericsson announces Xperia™ active, previously known as ST17i. Xperia™ active, a compact smartphone targeting consumers with an active lifestyle. Do you remember well-known Sony Ericsson C702? Yeah-yeah! Xperia™ active is dust proof and water resistant and uniquely incorporates wet finger tracking, to ensure the phone works perfectly when either the screen or a user’s fingers are wet. ST17i features Google™ Android 2.3 OS, 3.0″ 16M colour 320 x 480 pixels touch-screen, 5.0 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, 3.5 mm audio jack, aGPS, Wi-Fi, etc. The phone sizes only 55 x 92 x 16.5 mm and weights 110.8 grams. Xperia™ active will be available globally in selected markets from Q3 2011.
