Sony Xperia Z2 gets rooted along with custom recovery prior to launch.


The Sony Xperia Z2 launched at MWC 2014 is one of the most finely crafted devices on planet. The device is soon to hit the markets however Sony is facing some serious issues that could lead to the delay in launch in few markets. The developer community is still working its hands on the device and the folks from XDA have rooted the handset even before it has to hit the markets. Sony hacker DoomLoRD has rooted the Xperia Z2 and has even provided the ClockworkMod (CWM) recovery working on the device.


However to get the phone rooted and get the custom recovery, it is necessary to unlock the bootloader on the device that involves the process of flashing the recovery image and then installing the Chainfire’s SuperSU package to get the root access.
