We had just spotted the Xperia A2 few days back in leaked images and now the device has made an official entry to the hometown of Japan. Yes, Sony Mobile Japan has officially announced its Xperia A2 and the company will releasing the handset via NTT Docomo carrier. This handset is quite similar to the Xperia Z1 in Japan which is the Xperia Z1 f SO-02F.
Earlier there was a bit skepticism as to whether the Sony Xperia A2 is the Xperia Z2 Compact, but that is not the case. Taking a look at its specs, the device offers a 4.3” 720p LCD Triluminos Display, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2GHz, 2GB RAM, 20.7MP Exmor RS rear camera with a 2.2MP front-facing camera for Full HD video chats. The device comes with 16GB of internal storage along with a provision of microSD card and a substantial 2300mAh of battery life. The Sony Xperia A2 hosts a plastic back.
The device comes with IP58 certification and runs the latest Android 4.4 KitKat. Sony Xperia A2 is available in four different colors of Lavender, Orange, Grey and White and will be available next month in mid-June.
