Sony is much famous for its water resistant trademark which it offers in most of its premium flagships. Now the company has brought this feature to the existing Xperia M2 and renamed it as the Xperia M2 Aqua which comes with a never before IP68 certification making it completely dust proof with a survival for submersion even beyond 1m depth.
Looking to its specs, the Xperia M2 Aqua hosts similar specs to the original model. The handset sports a 4.8” qHD display and is powered with a quad-core Snapdragon 400 chipset clocked at 1.2GHz with a Adreno 305GPU for graphics support. The memory options for the device include 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and microSD card slot for expandable memory. The device runs the latest available Android 4.4. KitKat. The Sony Xperia M2 Aqua has a 8MP of primary camera with Exmor RS sensor, SteadyShot video stabilization and HDR. On the other hand, the connectivity options for the device include Wi-Fi, NFC, 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth and ANT+ for some sports accessories. Sony Xperia M2 Aqua is available in the single-SIM version only for the moment. The handset will be out this Autum in Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific regions.
