Preview of the new Sony Ericsson Aino
May 30, 2009 by Max

Yesterday was published the first preview of Sony Ericsson Aino, which was announced on 28th of May. According to GSM Arena, the new Sony Ericsson Aino has capacitive touchscreen and it supports VGA video recording at 30 fps.
“Well, the Sony Ericsson Aino surely did surprise us. The very concept of it is so unlike Sony Ericsson. You’ve got a huge touchscreen, 8 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, plus all the other well-known goodies. We’ve gotta say that the microSD card support is more than welcome too.
No longer do you have to choose between a Cyber-shot and a Walkman, and no longer should you check out the competition when decent video recording is a must. It seems that Sony Ericsson are changing their game plan and thus maybe even changing the game itself.”

The new Aino – entertainment at your fingertips
May 28, 2009 by Max

Aino is the new Sony Ericsson multimedia phone from Entertainment Unlimited series. When you see Aino, The first time it looks more like a stick phone with large screen and without keys. But first impressions of this device are wrong. Aino is not a stick smartphone, it is a mobile phone, which has many interesting features like touchscreen. It’s the first time when we will see a touchscreen on a mobile phone from Sony Ericsson.

Probably, Aino is the final model name and with this name the phone will be launched to the market. Aino has 3.0″ 240×432 pixels TFT touchscreen, which supports up to 16,777,216 colors. Sony Ericsson Aino has only 55 MB of internal memory, but it supports SanDisk microSD™ cards. 8GB SanDisk microSD™ card will be included to the box of the phone. Aino has 8.1 megapixel camera with autofocus and photo flash.

Sony Ericsson Aino has full PlayStation3 compatibility. The new Aino has a real Sony Style look and it is looking like a real PlayStation Portable device. Aino will be available in two nice colours: Obsidian Black and Luminous White. To the box of Aino will be included design-matched Charging Stand EC100 and Wireless Stereo Headphone MH100, which has the same colour variations like Aino. Sony Ericsson Aino and Wireless Stereo Headphone MH100 is a good tandem.

When the phone is closed it has a pretty nice size: 104 x 50 x 15.5 mm. The opened phone looks a bit wide, but it’s not a problem, because Aino has a touchscreen and you will not open the phone very often. Aino has weight 134 gram and that is normal for a slider phone. The most interesting info is, of course, the launch date of the new Aino. Sony Ericsson Aino will be released not earlier than October 2009.
