Today Sony Ericsson anounces the successor of well-know S302 Snapshot™ – the new S312, which has well-known codename Athena. Compact S312 is low-end phone, it has all basic features: 2.0″ 176×220 pixels TFT screen, 2.0-Megapixel camera with 2.5x digital zoom, PlayNow™, TrackID™ etc.
S312 is Snapshot™ branded phone, so it has some imaging features, like Photo fix, picture blogging, video recording, photo and video light, PictBridge printing and illuminated camera shortcuts on the front.
The new S312 has compact sizes: 100×46x12.5 mm and weight only 80 grams. S312 will be available in two beautiful colours: Dawn Blue and Honey Silver. Same colours (blue and grey-silver) has S302.
S312 supports only GSM/GPRS/EDGE/900/1800 networks and it will be available on selected markets from Q2 2009.
New firmware for S302 and W302

Wonderful news for users of S302 and W302. Two low-end stick phones from Sony Ericsson, which were announced and released in 2008, some days ago received new firmware version – R1CB001. Yet new firmware available only in Service Centeres. Hope soon it will be available in Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS).
S302’s successor

On the official site was leaked S302’s successor, which has well-known codename Athena. It’s S312 Snapshot™. S312 is low-end stick phone with simple design. It has 176×220 pixels screen and bad non-AF camera. Yet I don’t have more specification of the new phone. S312 Snapshot™ will be available in selected martets from Q3 2009.
